“A mentor is someone who allows you to see the hope inside yourself.” Oprah Winfrey

There is not a better way to come into your own in photography than through mentoring by someone who knows the history of the medium, the ins and outs of technique, and how a personal style is developed.

Writers, philosophers, and classical musicians have know the value of mentoring for thousands of years. All great institutions pursue this approach in education, places such as Cambridge, Oxford, Harvard, and Yale. If you truly want to develop as a photographer and come into your own photographically, then you should invest in yourself. Find a teacher who can help bring out the best that is inside of you.

“A mentor is a set of eyes that sees what the student overlooks in their practice. This person is one that demonstrates an acute sensitivity to the innate abilities of the budding photographer. A mentor offers the right advice and direction that helps the student achieve their greatness. I know of no better way to learn the creative process of photography than through one-on-one mentoring.” – John Paul
