In the previous blog, in reference to Stieglitz approach to Art with Photography, and in terms of his equivalents, I stated: “for art stems from that higher dimension or greater reality where meaning is born.”

This implies relevancy of meaning/s as it traverses the ground of creators and observers. As observers, the information we receive is limited to the sensitivity of our receptive instruments, and our capacity to hold and evaluate the information.

With instruments of finer tuning comes more information that forms knowledge once it is transferred into a language we can understand and thereby view within a contextual field of acquired truth. Through this process is the meaning of new information gained as streams of information converge in the rivers of our conscious mind.

Until then it is simply information, nothing more or less, just data. Information encourages or instructs our decisions to think and act in relationship to the information received. Constructing information into meaningful patterns is the action of an observer-receiver. If meaning cannot be assessed then the information is often ignored.

When viewing Art, often the observer is not in the presence of the artist/creator. As such the transfer of information and its interpretation and meaning derived are asynchronous and indeed, acausal.

Interestingly, according to quantum theory, elements separated in space-time are related projections of a higher dimensional order, related acausally and non-locally. It follows that information and moments, likewise separated, are projections of these non-local, acasual, higher orders of dimensions. The true nature of reality may be the entire composite of moments, moments that enfold and unfold–in a total movement.

Therefore events or rather moments of receiving information can be linked in both local and non-local ways. As such these elements separated in space and time are simply projections of a higher dimensional order from which meaning can be derived and obtained in a subjective, nonlocal, and acausal way

Stay tuned for part-II (for more Creator/Observer discussion)
